Scott Griggs
Development Manager
Scott Griggs is a Development Manager at Blake|Griggs Properties where he leads the underwriting, entitlement, and advancement of the firm’s multifamily and mixed-use development pipeline throughout California. His responsibilities span the full development lifecycle, including acquisitions, financial structuring, entitlements, capitalization, and preconstruction planning.
Since joining Blake|Griggs Properties, Scott has played a key role in advancing several large-scale residential developments, including the successful entitlement of a 200-unit mixed-use community in Danville, California, and the advancement of a 200+ unit transit-oriented multifamily project in Monrovia. The Monrovia project included the preparation and successful certification of a full California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) environmental document, which was approved without legal challenge. Scott works closely with municipalities, capital partners, and consultant teams to navigate complex regulatory environments and position projects for successful execution.
Prior to joining Blake|Griggs Properties, Scott worked at IPM, a technical services firm supporting large-scale operational initiatives for Amazon.
Scott earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he was a Division I baseball player. He went on to play eight seasons of professional baseball in the Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies organizations.
Scott is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and serves on the ULI San Francisco Residential Local Product Council (LPC).
